Shawn joined the Jax Treblemakers in 2016 and sings tenor. He has been involved in music and performing much of his life, beginning with piano lessons in first grade. While earning his BS and MBA at Jacksonville University he minored in music with concentrations in piano and voice and performed with the choral and jazz groups there. Prior to joining the Treblemakers he sang several seasons with the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus under conductors Roger Nierenberg and Fabio Mechetti. Other performances include Marryin’ Sam in Li’l Abner, Albert in Bye-Bye Birdie, Charlie Brown in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and in the chorus of La Bohème. Shawn designs and builds custom homes for a living with his company, Starr Custom Homes. In his spare time, he enjoys exercising, gaming, travel and spending time with his two daughters.
