Leslie Masten

Leslie Masten joined the Jax Treblemakers in 2015 as a tenor and currently serves as Business Manager for the group.  She grew up in a small town in NC and spent much of her early life playing piano, handbells, and trying to sing in the wrong octave.  While majoring in Engineering at Duke University, she stumbled upon an all-female acapella group in need of women “who sing very low.”  Her love for a capella grew by leaps and bounds, as the group was led by visionary women leading the charge into “contemporary” a capella, and sang with some of the best college groups in the country.  “Left brain” work has dominated adulthood - she sang again in a coed a capella group in business school and in a harmony-focused band called Willow in Jacksonville before finding the Jax Treblemakers.  Leslie’s activities outside of work have varied greatly through the years, but she loves to spend time outside (at the beach, riding a bike or walking, reading, playing flag football) and exploring various cultures around the country and the world.
