

Erika Winter is born and raised as a native of Jacksonville, Florida. She attended LaVilla and Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, majoring in Vocal Performance. There, she was a Soprano in the top performance Choir that went onto many competitive events, also was a key member of a traveling jazz ensemble called Silhouettes. After graduating in 2009, she went on to study Vocal Performance and Music Education at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. There she played a principal role in Jane Eyre the Musical as Young Jane and was also in The Fantasticks as Louisa. Being a Vocal Performance major, she also sang in many events and choirs in college such as A Night at the Opera and A Night on Broadway, where she was in ensembles and performed solo acts and pieces. Among performing in college, she also was a leader of music at several churches and sang the National Anthem at local sports events in Lakeland. Upon returning to Jacksonville, she continued her streak of National Anthem performances at the Jacksonville Giants, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimps (formerly Suns), and Jacksonville Armada - where she was also a cheerleader. Erika was a member of the Jacksonville Symphony Choir for the season of 2017-2018. She was a top 4 finalist for Channel 4’s Oh Say Can You Sing Competition in 2018. She is also a full-time music teacher at a local elementary school where she has been the Director, Choreographer, and Arranger for after school choirs of 50+ students, Show Choir, and Musicals such as Annie, a Junior Broadway Show. Erika has recently been in a music video and has sung with a local band and singer, J. Lorraine for over two years.
